James Marshall is a Software Engineer and lifelong theme park enthusiast with a deep-rooted passion for the themed entertainment industry. From his early experiences at parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, Port Aventura, and Alton Towers, James knew he wanted to build a career around creating memorable experiences for theme park guests. In 2008, he worked at Epcot as part of the Cultural Representative Program, which fueled his desire to further his education. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2018.
James gained early experience as a Software Engineer at technology companies and eventually worked for Accesso Technology Group, where he developed technology solutions for global attractions. His work at Accesso allowed him to create innovative technology implementations for major operators like Six Flags, Merlin Entertainments, and Cedar Fair. In mid-2021, James took his expertise to Walt Disney Attractions Technology, where he contributed to enhancing guest experiences at Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line.
In 2022, James founded WeLoveAttractions.com, a website dedicated to covering attractions visit planning, the history of themed entertainment, careers in the industry, and the important issues of accessibility and guest experience in theme parks.
